Προϊστορική Ακρόπολη "Μεγάλος Μαστός", Προσύμνη
The prehistoric acropolis of Megalos Mastos in Prosymni, Argolis, is an important fortified settlement of the Mycenaean period. Its location on a naturally defensible hill allowed control over the surrounding area and provided strong defensive advantages. Archaeological evidence indicates continuous habitation during the Late Bronze Age, with characteristic features of Mycenaean settlement organization and fortification systems. The acropolis is connected to the wider network of Mycenaean centres in Argolis and represents a significant example of prehistoric occupation in the region.
