Mycenaean bridge at Kazarma
The Mycenaean bridge of Kazarma is located in Argolis, at the 15th kilometre of the Nafplio–Epidaurus road, and represents a characteristic example of Mycenaean engineering. It dates to around 1300 BCE and was constructed using the cyclopean building technique, employing large, roughly shaped limestone blocks without the use of binding material. The bridge formed part of an organized road network connecting major Mycenaean centres such as Mycenae and Tiryns with Epidaurus. Remarkably, the structure remains in use today by the local population, highlighting the durability and sophistication of Mycenaean construction techniques.
