Tower, Iria

In the place where there would have been stone steps and the drawbridge, there is now a water tank, which supplies water to the village. The building was built of rubble with thick layers of plaster and some sections of brick, with carefully carved cornerstones.

The openings in the domed ground floor and on the first floor are later alterations. There are also embrasures, which form a slit on the exterior and are wider on the inside. Finally, a structure has survived at the entrance to the first floor, which indicates that a drawbridge was used to enter the building.

The monument is protected under Archaeological Law 3208/2002. It is in a bad state of repair, as a large part of the superstructure has collapsed.
