The Sacred Church of Prophitis Elias, Aspida Hill Argos

The church of Prophitis Elias is built on the top of the low lying Aspida Hill (Deirada). It is a small single-room church with a wooden roof, which has a small semi-circular apse on its eastern side. The interior murals have not survived. The masonry is roughly carved stone. The church dates from the Mid-Byzantine period, possible from the early 18th century.
